HELP!!! I've been bad!

I just bought another rifle. This one is special. it is the M1 Garand 1944 special edition. It sits upright in a rough wooden box which, when it is opened, shows a replica of a painting of WWII soldiers on the inside of the lid. The M1's stock is engraved with the outline of the same soldiers. This is not just a rifle, it is a showpiece. It is drop-dead gorgeous, and my really wonderful gun dealer, only had two. I put a deposit on one.

Mind you, I just bought a rifle which is not even finished. It is a .338 caliber Sako action, which is now at Shilen to have a 22 inch barrel put on it. I still have to have a stock made for it, and it is not yet, wholly, paid for.

Now, help out here. How am I going to explain that one to my hubby. Noting ofcourse that there is a rule that we can each spent our own money, but purchases over $1,000.00 should be discussed. Needless to say, it is more than that. The .338 will be ready and picked up in late February. The M1 will be paid for by late March, so there is time....

I know there is a lot of talent in this room. I need a dynamite line here

TELL HIM you are saving money by getting the equipment to impliment a do-it-yourself fur coat kit.

My last boss had a secretary who was drop dead beautiful, blonde hair, blue eyes and that "look" that could melt hearts.

Her motto with her hubby was that it was more ladylike to ask for forgiveness than to beg for something. So she just bought what she wanted and got away with it.

And who's gonna argue with a lady as well armed as you?

All I can say is I wish my 'ol lady had the same "bad" tendancies as you. It wouldnt break MY heart..

Hasn't failed me yet, my lovely wife has no clue when it comes to my firearms inventory. All she knows is "he's got a bunch of guns".

Sometimes, you just have to make those decisions right then and there. roflmao And no, my wife probably wouldn't be as understanding as I am. She just chewed me out for spending too much for tires for her XTERRA! roflmao

In 2000, I went truck shopping. came home with drop dead beautiful Trans AM WS6 loaded to the hilt. After seeing the look on my wifes face, I knew I was in trouble sofa

Strategy and execution is all important in the caper. Does your Hubby hunt? Does he shoot? Is he interested in firearms? This info is critical to developing a master plan of attack..Smiler
