I am purchasing an ED BRown Savanna in .308. It is glass bedded in marine tex from ed brown in a mcmillan stock with aluminum pillars. It has his 702 action with a 24" S/S Krieger barrel #4 contour with 1-12 twist. It comes with Talley mounts. It also has a Jewell trigger. That's seems to be a fine rifle. I have no experience with them but they really look great. I'd say the price isn't important too much as they are a custom and if it works for you it's all that matters. Personally I'd rather have a rifle from Winchester's custom shop for that new price. I couldn't comment on prices but you won't do any better as far as a custom action goes. Well thought out with good features and excellent quality in both materials and assembly.  | |||

Jim Borden makes his own custom action with patented "Borden Bumps." Having witnessed an Ed Brown rifle in action at the range, it is a very nice rifle, the one I saw was putting Speer spitzer boat tails into one hole at 100 yards ---I think it was a 30.06.
