| I have the older Sendero with a heavy non-fluted barrel in 7mm Rem. Mag.
Recoil is very manageable, more like a .308 than a short magnum.
I've been very pleased with the accuracy of the rifle. I've gotten several groups under 1/2" at 100 yards, and it averages under 1" with favored loads. |

| The senderos on average are more accurate than most lighter weight rifles.I have yet to shoot one that was not more accurate than average with all shooting under 1" with handloads. |

| I've got a Sendero in 7mm mag and will second what was posted above. It shoots great! I've also got the heavy but unfluted barrel which shoots about 3/4" at 100 yards most all of the time. The only thing I've done to it is lighten the trigger pull. Shoots great out to 500 yards which is the extent of my club's range. Sub-MOA all the way.
You can't go wrong with one. They are good rifles. |

| Had a Sendero .300UM,SF. I too had great results, AFTER the trigger was changed. The best factory shooting rifle I have ever owned. Shot all hunting bullets well, and SMK's would shoot one hole groups at 100yds.
Good choice, and good luck..sakofan.. |

| My SS Sendero in .300 Win Mag was a 1/2 MOA shooter right out of the box (the only thing I did was lighten the trigger pull). I find it a great stand rifle, though a little heavy for stalking. Looks and finish are fine too and it's my only U.S. mass produced rifle I didn't need to tinker with. |

| Leupold Vari-X III 3,5-10x50. Normally,I mount Swarovski scopes on my rifles but I happen to fancy the silver scope on SS. I'm happy with it though and it serves me well. I checked the Leupold 50 mm light transmission in twilight as compared to my 42 mm Swarovskis and they're on a par. However, the difference is unnoticeable in daylight. |
