Paul, My Model 70 is as accurate as one would ever want.. it thinks it is a varmint rifle with NO matter what I feed it... It isn't picky like the Rugers were... but 40 grains of 3031, with any bullet weight from 139 to 175 grains, shot better than 1 inch groups out of both of the Rugers I had...some down to as small as less than half an inch... RL 7 and IMR 4198 also shot real well in them... slower powders grouped like a 12 gauge...regardless of what they were in the Rugers... The Model 70s digest everything quite well... The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46." Duhboy....Nuttier than Squirrel Poop...

ezridr You always have to put a grain or so more in a Win. case in the 7x57. You can also probably bump up your loads somewhat. I have flattened kudu and several other big animals with the 7x57. A shot not taken is always a miss
