If you have been looking for a CZ 550 in 7x57, they are available again in limited production:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Aucti....aspx?Item=198454230

They are lazy about the listing and don't show a picture, and the description is inadequate. They say call CZ for a better description.

So, I called CZ, and they say they were special order for Jerry's (Sport Shop?) They imported less than 100.

CZ USA says these rifles are the American style walnut stock

Warning, thread hijack!

Yes, it's wretched. But then read it, and it becomes worse. They openly state that they won't ship for at least a week, and they want you to email them to determine if they still have what they are selling and have the gumption to tell you not to bid if you'll leave negative feedback if they don't have what they are auctioning. But the real shocker is that people seem to lap it up. They have 3888 of 3902 positive feedbacks.

Thread hijack over. Thanks Kabluewy for the info.

I agree. The way they do their ads is annoying. But I tried to stay open minded about it. I can't imagine the expense and hours of work and tedious detail it would take to maintain the number of listing they post. They have to develop a system that covers them, and yet gets it done, with the least errors. They don't even open the boxes, so picturs of the actual firearm don't work for them. I can see how posting pictures in such case would lead to problems. I don't agree with it, but I can understand why they do it that way.

Plus, most likely the employees doing the listings are probably not highly skilled, so it has to work for them too. With that kind of volumn, it could be a real issue. They were really good at responding to email, and quickly answered all my questions.

Anyway, I apparantly got past all that, with little difficulty, and got my 7x57. So, I'll see if it all works out when it arrives, and I'll be happy like all those other thousands of customers.

I liked the full stock ones.

I really liked the featherweight with the 2-8 leupold that sold to Frickin' Frank a week or so ago. Mad

I've bought from SportsmansSafari before on gunbroker and there were serious problems with the item I bought. To their credit they handled the problem in a manner that was both professional and courteous. I sent the gun back and was issued a refund promptly and given a humble apology.

I would buy from them again.
