For the International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union...

I used to shoot it with a .280 Remington and I used 140 grain Sierra Match Kings on the sheep.

I don't know what is popular now, maybe the .260 Rem which should do a good job at this.

Speaking to those who shoot this here in Oz, they say that they use 150/165gr bullets at 2,700 fps and that 180gr bullets are not out of place in 308 Win for a big hit to knock down the rams at 500 yds. I understand the silhouettes weigh about 25Kg.
