I have received the following via the Oregon Hunter's Association and our gun club newsletter. I feel it is likely legit because the Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee, the Campaign Manager for U.S. Representative District Oregon #4, and several other Oregon political "ins" all have a hand in the auditing and approval of what goes into our monthly newsletter to our club members:
--------------------

"On December 17th, 2009, President Obama signed Executive Order 12425, which fundamentally changes our constitutional rights.

"Executive Order 12425 amended an order signed by President Reagan in 1983. That order recognized Interpol as an International Organization and gave it privileges and immunities commonly extended to foreign diplomats.

"President Reagan allowed Interpol to operate within the U.S., but with the same restrictions as U.S. agencies, to protect the Constituional rights of U.S. citizens. These safeguards were stripped away by Obama's action without debate or explanation. Obama has given an international police organization unsupervised freedom to investigate Americans on our own soil without recourse to or the supervision of our own government and has provided (them) an exemption from the Freedom of Information Act.

"Interpol operates in 188 countries and is the law enforcement arm of the International Criminal Court. The mainstream media has been silent on this issue, but I believe the American people deserve an explanation. If an explanation is not forthcoming, we have no choice but to expect the worst. While we don't know the full consequences yet, we will keep inquiring and asking questions until we get some answers."
-----------------

I do not know any more about this, and don't even know if it is accurate. But I do encourage all you folks to look into it. One contact person regards this is listed in our club newsletter as Tim Pitzer who may be contacted via e-mail at

timpitzer@comcast.net

Sorry to put it here in the Medium Bores forum, but wanted to put it where the most AR forum members might see it. If the moderator wants to move it, that is fine with me, but I hope you will all read it and check it out and, if circumstances merit it, will contact your congressional representatives ASAP.

Well, I hope Snopes is right. The thing that bothers me with all of these kinds of things is that they are really never rescinded or even officially reviewed periodically, no matter what the agencies involved evolve into.

But, like everything else these days, I guess we can just let our kids worry about it, and pay for any boo-boos we have made..

PBO is oging to make the Carter years seem like nirvana. The people will be begging to unelect him & anyone siding w/ him. It's already starting, Mass was just the beginning. Then maybe we can start taking the country back.

Typical dis-information to spread more hate!

Did anyone see the news item of 10 US citizens arrested for trying to smuggle out babies & children from Haiti after the earth quake? That is child trafficking & the US is not a signatory to the international agreement on the matter. The US allows people to buy children from overseas to bring them to the US! I do not know if this is a conservative or liberal problem....but is sure stinks.

Phurley - If you read the post, you should know why I put it here. I told everyone that when I posted it. I'm sorry that wouldn't have been your choice, it wasn't done to offend YOU. But then, there are probably other things done in the world which you wouldn't have done also. Perhaps you will be so kind as to forgive me. If not....oh, well....

Best wishes,

Yes. I'm cowering under my bed in fear of the DEATH PANELS, also.

Always take anything coming from spokespersons of anyone's political opposition with a healthy grain of salt. A news release from Democrats about a Republican is usually equally unreliable.

dempsey ----- Your response is the very reason I requested the Moderator to move the post. The Political Forum is the place for it, not where we discuss Accurate Reloading. It has absolutely no place here, those that choose to discuss the political aspects have a place to do that. I respectifully request the Moderator to, once again, remove the post. I and all the other readers here should refuse discussions on this Forum. Good shooting.

I agree 100%. I am not an American & I find this offensive.

It would be better if the Republicans condemned the child trafficking in Haiti by Americans.

I generally agree with you phurley in regards to this post being more appropriate in the PF. However at the same time it isn't unheard of that at times off topic items show up in all the different forums. I also have the will power to avoid the occasional off topic threads that pop up from time to time. Coming on to this particular thread time and time again for the sole purpose of complaining about it tells me it isn't about the thread being in the wrong place but more likely the political leanings of those that oppose it. That's it in a nut shell. One thread in the wrong place isn't going to get my shorts in a knot, I'll simply skip it. Now if it became a trend I'd agree that the Mod should take action.

So what. It doesn't sound unreasonable to me. After all, if you lead an honest life, you shouldn't care. It won't affect you. On the contrary, anything that can pierce the armor of so called "rights" that the guilty have been granted by liberals should be applauded.

Perhaps Interpol and the Hague can actually do something which our impotent "agencies" and court system cannot....put the guilty behind bars..............remember OJ......

Interpol, to my knowledge, has no powers of arrest in any country. Interpol maintains criminal records, warrant databases, and fingerprint database information exchanges between countries.

I put the post here because I thought it might affect American gun ownership sownstream. I didn't know one way or the other, but as Hillary Clinton has just committed the U.S. to a treaty (if Congress approves it) which is designed to limit international trade in private small arms, I was afraid it might. So, I tried to put it where anyone who knew the real skinny might see it and make that clear to me and all of us who cared to think about it.

I personally don't read the cookoo stuff on the political forum, so was afraid if I put it there, no one with any common sense who knew something about this subject would comment on it.

A moderator himself answered my question by checking "snopes" and saying it is of probably no consequence, so I let it ride and was not responding any more until now. Just in case anyone cares, I am not a Republican. I am an Independent. I did not know about "Snopes" or I would have checked it there myself before posting it.

Anyway, if my thread rubs your knickers the wrong way, why do you keep coming back to it? Who the hell appointed you guys as the thought and posting police? I thought Saeed owns this site.

If you are offended, I am truly sorry I blackened your days. I meant to help gun owners, not irritate them. On the other hand, if you want to act like ...holes about it, then you might want to look in a mirror and ask yourself if you are contributing to your own snit a little bit.

You don't have to read this thread unless you really do choose to click on it, and I now know enough that if there is ever anything I think maybe I should warn you about in the future, I won't. There, are you ready for your warm milk and beddy-by now?

Their a couple ,man & Wife located in Central southern Kommyfornia who are dyed in the wool Democrats

and have been caught several times making up or distorting facts .

I personally have quizzed them on two subjects and they lied , NO way to sugar coat it .

I had a friend do something similar before I did , that's how we found out an we spread it along the

Net just so people would know . So take it for what it's worth and check another source to be

If one wants an honest and public airing of a gun related issue the last place to post it is on the ARPF....That's a cesspool of soup by any imagination!!

Actually, teh Americans invovled were froma relief group (volunteers, any Kiwis there?) and had all paper work approed, but apparently there was some question at teh border. More will follow.

Reason for crossing with about a dozen orphaned children (many injured)? Well, I highly doubt it was for "trafficking", but rather to get these children out of stinkiing Haiti where medical services have been overwhelmed (not that it would have taken much) and into hospitals/orphanages in the DR.

Anything better to do than spout such wild stuff, "trafficking" huh?

Sorry sir, the facts are different. There is a lot discussed in the political forum if you wish to look.

The Americans were from 3 states - all were from a Baptist church groups and there were 33 kids. Several were unhappy to go with them and repeatedly mentioned that they were not orphans. they had both parents alive and were in a shelter / camp. I saw the interview with the woman who was the leader of the group and with the Austrian aid worker who was actually working with the kids when they were taken. The Austrian said that the kids were not orphans and had no papers.

I am not going to repeat the stuff I have said on the Political forum....

This is not about charity but about protecting the rights of the children.....
