I don't have access to my rifle to check it, but I read, somewhere. that at one time ( if not always) Remington used a 9 1/2" twist in their .270? Can anyone verify this?

Yep, the list I read had to be a misprint. I had never heard of a US manufacturer using anything less than 10". No matter, I'm still good.

Yup, 1 in 10" stabilizes the 150 and 160g Partitions just fine. Never shot anything heavier through mine. Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"

Someday I'd like to try the Woodleigh 180, but Nosler 160s are my heaviest now. If this rifle shoots them well, I will use them on elk/big hogs. I like the Monos, but I dodn't see how a 150 TSX can do anything in a .270 that a 130/140 TSX can't.

An m700 will stabilize the 150 TSX. The 150 TSX does penetrate much better than the 130 TSX/TTSX. I've never used the 140 TSX so I can not comment on that. Perry

If you like the monolithics then the 130 and 140 will give you all the penetration in the world, as there big selling point is penetration..I would prefer the Nosler partition and Accubond in the 150 - 160 weight..Im not altogether sold on monolithic, not saying they are not good bullets as they are, but I like bonded core and partition bullets.. Thanks Ray. I have both the 150 & 160 Partitions to try in this rifle. I traded for some 130 TTSX and I am going to try them, plus I still have almost 2 boxes of the discontinued Federal Premium 110 TTSx. They shot very well in my old Belgium made BAR I had to sell. I am just going to play with several bullets and let the rifle tell me what it likes. Loads of fun!
