Hot Core's Elk Hunting Experience????????

Seriously, 9 pages ragging on another member? I don't know Hot core and haven't read many of his posts (probably because I live in TX and haven't hunted elk) but isn't this a little absurd? I guess this thread won't die until we get closer to hunting season an people have something else to talk about. This just seems silly but I guess I'm a newer member and don't know how things work. I would have expected a moderator to kill this thread by now.

C'mon guys, a whole nine page thread just to attack somebody. I don't know Hot Core and haven't read any of his postings but it seems to me that this is just over the top. Can't we please just let it go already? Is this what AR is all about?

So much for forgivness, cordial gentlemen behavior, back in good graces, etc, and other words used, that I can't think of right now.

We know what it's been about all along, fessing up, then slinking off like a scalded dog. The bunch who wants this thread to go on until that happens.

Have you noticed the front of your boots are wet lately, and wondered why that is happening? It's called pissing into the wind, or in other words pissing on yourself. Either that or HC is pissing on your boots, all the while you think a thread like this will accomplish anything but that. The piss is on you, rather than your intended target.

Not only did HC pee on you, but he got you to pee on yourself. How do you feel about that?

It's not bothering me at all. It's about as non-issue as things generally get. I find it mildly amusing because apparantly it is an issue for some. You did good to read all 29. Have they been consistant? I wouldn't know of course, since my eyes glazed over at about number 10.

And my disposition has changed at least 29 times during the duration of this thread, anyhow, which surely would have been reflected in my posts.

I have no bitch in this squabble, so no point in hanging around. Hasseling others gets boring after a while anyway. It's gotten to the point where it's difficult to start a good fight around here. Everybody is on this cordial kick or something.

This just seemed like a thread with an open invitation to mess with people. It's almost too much temptation for me, (troll candy

All I know about him is his behavior here and his only comments towards me was a name calling attack about a simple reasoned post I made on another forum here. At the time I simply scratched my head and moved on. He simply isn't worth a response. In finding that he has treated other people the same and seeing them back him into a corner here has been highly amusing.

As for kabluewy, I'll answer that:

A. No, I'm not supporting HC. I think he should have apologized a long time ago. He's been a bad boy, so he needs to play nice on the swing set, and monkey bars.

B. Castigation is defined as severe punishment. I'm not trying to inflict punishment on anyone.

C. I'm not joining in with anyone, especially antagonists, providing points to collectively debate. I am inviting debate in a way, but the invitation is with those who think they can collectively castigate HC into fessing up, and crawling away.

I suppose it could happen the way you see it. But, I would like to have a clear understanding of what it is that the HC Castigation Committee would like to see happen.

I got the part about fessing up, and apologizing. The rest of it isn't so clear. Slinking away with his tail between his legs, etc. doesn't translate. Making him wrong is relatively easy, because there is no justification for his behavior. It's just that I see his behavior has intent to drag others down to his level, and piss on themselves. I just loathe giving that much empowerment and satisfaction to a jerk. I can support most anything but that.

I thought it was an accurate, cordial piece of creative writing that all would appreciate and get a chuckle out of! Like Limbaugh says, for humor to work there has to be an element of truth.

I guess it's just another minor point to debate.

By the way, every member of this forum is "holier than thou" simply because they have never been so pitiful and pathetic enough to call out another member in this fashion.

So, what does the P&P HTT HC Castration Commitee say? Have you called your meeting yet, and come up with a concise list of goals outa this?

Or is it simply:

2. apologize
3. crawl away

What else is the point or purpose of this thread? I could add to the list, from some of the stuff I've read, but it's not mine to list. This thread belongs to the Committee. Once I understand what's the point, perhaps you'll have my full support. As it is right now, I support the call for an apology from HC for his bad behavior on this forum in general, because apologizing is honorable, and appropriate, IMO.

One more thing - IMO, an apology from HC would satisfy most of the Committee (51%). Apologizing and asking for forgivness would satisfy about 90%, because that's taking ownership of the bad behavior. I hate to speak for the Committee, but that's what I read into all this, which I haven't seen written yet. If I'm reading the purpose of this thread right, it needs to be said - clearly.

And, even if all that happened, the other 10% could keep this thread alive indefinitely.

After all is said and done, going back to the origin of this thread, it's apparant that what this forum really needs is a Dignity Maintenance Committee. So I'll nominate teancum as Chairman. I'm sure he will straighten it all out, since dignity is his forte. I'll also nominate rcamuglia as a committee member, since obviously he will be tasked with cordiality. The guy with the charitable Christian post - of course he's nominated to the committee as the HTT & forgivness member - and so forth.

those that are getting upset with this thread.. I am humbly going to suggest, they are the ones that are taking it too seriously...

I really don't think ol Hot Core has any elk hunting experience... but ya know, if and when he goes, I'll be wishing him the best of luck..
