I'm getting a rifle for my bud's 50th birthday and was wanting to do some loads for him to shoot with the new rifle.Ideally I'd like some one here to tell me that 7828 works great as I have 5 lbs of that, but of course it seldom happens the way you would like it to...lol I think we will be loading 150 Nosler bullets
thanks Greg

I have 4 Weatherby's in 30-378 and they all like RL22. A couple of them will shoot IMR7828 in similar groups to RL22. None of mine seemed to like RL25. Retumbo also shot fairly well. I almost exclusively loaded 180gr Swifts, 180gr Triple shocks or 180gr Sierra Pro Hunters.

I have only loaded the 180s, but 7828 or RL22 should have a good chance with 150s.

As others have stated, 7828 (or 7828 SSC) will work fine, but all of my Weatherby rifles perform best with Reloder, and in this case, RL22.

tanks gents, I could load 180 gr bullets if that is the preferred weight, as many of you have indicated. FS
