I'm going to have a 338 federal built and the gunsmith has a 338/08 reamer. Are these two identical/interchangeable? I don'd have drawings on either. Thanks!! Jay Kolbe | ||

Possibly but I wouldn't bet on it. The gunsmith shouldn't put the burden of knowing this upon you. I would agree that the smith should find out ! But I would find out too ! Prety cool cartridge, I have a Sako 7579 that may well be a .338 federal onw day, but who knows...tj3006 ...tj3006 freedom1st | |||

Jay, For what's worth I talked to Clymer the other day. When I told them I couldn't find the dimensions of the 338Federal on their site they said it was the same as the 338-08. As usual just my $.02 Paul K | |||
