I’m looking for ballistic data on the 220 Gr Silvertip ammo in 300 WM from Winchester. I have five boxes of it and would like to know what the numbers are. I’m headed to SA as soon as the Virus crap is done and would like to be able to get a cheat sheet built for this load before I go. Thanks in advance. “The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy before you, to see his cities reduced to ashes, hearing the old ones wail, to see those who love him shrouded in tears, and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters, while riding his gelding.” Genghis Khan

"According to an old copy of the 1986 Guns & Ammo Annual, the .300 Win Mag with a 220 gr Silvertip was listed as having a muzzle velocity of 2680 fps. Barrel length is not given." Yours may vary. The BC on that bullet is probably around .300 or so. Actually even better than chronographing the ammo and developing a cheat sheet the most accurate method is to shoot the ammo at the distances you intend to shoot at game. If you are unwilling to shoot targets at 400 yards then frankly you have no business shooting AT animals at that distance. I ran some numbers using Sierra 220 grain bullets at 300 Win Mag velocities (2700fps). Sighted 2.15 inches high at 100 yards it is dead on at 200 yards and -3.72 low at 250 yards and -9.45 at 300, -17.4 at 350 yards at 400 yards it is nearly 28" low.

That's a fine thought, but not everyone has access to a 400 yard range at all times. I can, and have at times shot out to 1,000 yards. Currently the range I have access to is limited to 300m. This does not mean I'm incapable or unwilling to take a shot at 400. But, if I shoot over a chronograph, I have the ability to know what my bullet is doing at 400.
