Probably belongs at the wildcat forum, but...

...saw an article about a project chambered in 7mm express ( RIFLE magazine???) When I looked at the cartridge, knowing about and expecting to see a .280 Remington variant, I was very surprised to see something looking like a shortened down Weatherby-shoulder benchrest sort of critter.

Turns out to be something with the name Gradle thrown together with 7 mm express. This adds to the 7 mag / 7 mm Remington / .280 Remington / 7 mm Express fiasco. Who knew?

It's been around a long time, late'40's early '50's maybe. I remember reading about it in high school study hall in mid'50's. They even allowed a few hunting and gun books at school in those days. However, we took guns to school and drove out to farm ponds during noon hour to try to get a duck or two. (And on the way home to the farm. No big deal, then.)

Went ahead and bought the magazine. Interesting! Talks about the Rigby company doubles -- "rising bite" conformation / action.

Our country is now run by hysterical women.
They dicatate what MEN can do with respect to guns. Mad
I graduated from High School in 1952, and my step dad brought guns to school to show guys what guns are used for specific kinds of hunting.. Now, if you even mention the word "guns" in school, they call the police, and you are carted off to jail.

Yep. The 7mm WSM looks like a better option. Kinda like the old stock though, but it looks cut short.

In Germany, it´s the same. "Guns", knives, and books about this are the evil. Gun owner´s are people second class. At the moment, many guns go to furnace. Many old and rare guns. I was at the bavarian police and saw golden hunting an target rifles, Feuerstutzen, Ferlacher, rare o8-pistols in many different variations, the same with Mauser C96. Original Mauser sporting rifles, made in 10,75Mauser, 9,3x57 and many more. All ready to go to scrap. At teh moment, the German governement destroy historical and technical importend things, we will loose for many generations. Prices are down, no one will buy any rifle at the moment, with the fear in the neck, we get the next idiotical gun law in the next future. Especial new gun storing and blocking systems. Mad

Return to maine posting. Here´s a article about the Gradle: http://www.riflemagazine.com/m...248%20Partial%20.pdf
