But I might go back tomorow. Took my model 70 featherweight 06 (pre64) to a gunshow today. Looked at lots of stuff but the guy I was looking for did not set up at the show. he had a nice pair of Sako 06s and I was thinking of selling or trading for one of those. But there we 4 intreeging rifles that have me thinking. 1 was a CZ heters 7 Mag guy was asking a little under 400.00. I would,nt go for his rifle and 200, and he would,ny go for 300 , Also a kind of rough sako 308, asking price 550.00. If I could sell my 06 and get the sako with a 100 for my pocket I might. But the two I like best were and ol Husky in 9.3X62 mauser, asking I think 750.00. I Doubt he would take my rifle and 50.00. but my rifle would likly sell faster so you never know. The best posibility was a custom military 98 in 35 whelen. Its nicly done and the tag said 495.00 or best. If I could get 650 for mine and buy his for 450 I would be in good shape to buy a scope fore it. I 1x5X5 leupold would be fine thank you ! ...tj3006 freedom1st

Sounds interesting. Personally I would rather have a pre 64 30-06 than any of the others. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

R miller. I can understand you clearly, and getting rid of it was not easy. But I just didnot want to take that thing hunting, If I scratched it up I would be pissed. And while it was a very good shooter with 180 and 165 grain bullets, if you loaded them up near max, the featherweight with no pad is not much fun. So. I traded it for a sako browning safari in .243, and I got 100.00 its a little nicked up, so if I wack it around a little I wont mind much...tj3006 freedom1st

The Husky in 9.3 is a dream to shoot (I have a restocked mod 640) but the price! 750USD? For that price it better be mint -or new.
