Congratulations on your 35 Whelen. Its a dandy caliber and makes a splendid allround big game rifle. I got one myself....a Ruger M77 with a 22" Shilen ss barrel. It is a true shooter, Especially with the 250 gr Woodleigh.

TJ. Congratulations on joining the .35 Whelen club. I'm surprised your magazine only holds four rounds though. My Remington 700 holds four, but my Ruger 77 and custom Mauser hold five in magazine. As a matter of fact, I plan on building three more, one on a Ruger #1, another on a Browning Model 95, and another Mauser. As all three rifles are in 30-06 now, it should be just a simple reboring job. Guess I just like .35 Whelens. Paul B.

A very underated cartridge for years, unfortunately, but one of the best, both in versitility and performance on big game. I hear a lot of "brush cartridge" which it is no more or less than others, but an all around cartridge, at home in the open as well as the think stuff. Best wishes and good hunting.
