I'm trying to find a solid spec for factory 9.3x64 ammo. I have some varying lengths given in reloading references and web pages from 3.34 to 3.37 inches. Does anyone have the real CIP spec for a loaded cartridge? Also, if anyone has factory ammo handy, I'd really appreciate it if you could post a quick measurement, including maker and bullet info if possible. Thanks!

84,5 mm (=3.327) for the 286 grains round nose SP and solid bullets
85,5 mm (=3.366) for the more pointed TUG and H-mantle

Thanks all. I'm asking because I'm thinking of rebarreling my 338-06AI to 9.3x64. The only hitch is magazine length - the 3.37" length will not fit my factory VZ24 magazine without a bit of alteration. I always thought the x64 was supposed to be a drop-in fit for this action. I guess it is, with the RN and solids and their shorter length as posted by dutchgus.

I'd like to be able to shoot any factory ammo in it if I happened to get some, so I will be needing to scrounge a little more mag length.
