I haven't tried it, did think about it, but decided to try 4350 and it shoots great with good velocity, especially pushing 200 grain bullets. 1000 may be a little too slow for the H&H, but I don't know.

I use it in my 300 Win Mag....Accuracy is excellent.... the load is a trifle hot....but the rifle and the cases don't seem to mind it... 83 grains of H 1000, and a 220 grain Round Nose... MV about 2975 fps... can't get it to break the 3000 fps mark.. but close enough for government work.... cheers seafire

I use H1000 in my 300 RUM and it shoots 3/4" group at 200 yds with three shots. My load would be different then what yours would be. But the powder is great for the 300s.

Land's End road North side about 2 miles before you hit the switch backs. It's probably all subdivided now. That was about 37 yrs. ago.Use to be a 3 to 4 acre lake North about a mile from the road. Some of the best large mouth and blue gill catching.Ever get up to Blue lake? roger
