Are the Cold Steel commercial spears all they are advertised to be, or do most of you folks who hunt with spears have yours custom made by a professional bladesmith? Not counting those with the skills to do the forging yourselves.

Ihave several spears most of them custom made but i can tell you for hunting in an infantry mode the best is the cold stee boars spear ,mine was a gift by wilpork aka steve thorsen an experienced cold teel hunter ,pig sticking from horsebacks is another matter you need a longer flexible spear and a shorter blade ,you can buy one in a military store if they sell old cavalry spears.Juan
