Have been lurking here for about a week now reading all the good posts. A lot of good information and knowledgable people here! To the question.... Does anyone here have any experience with Asolo Sasslong boots? I noticed Sierra trading post has these boots @ 30% off. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,83043_Asolo-Sasslon...g-Boots-For-Men.html

They look like they're well constructed and have some nice features but wanted to hear from somone who as used them.

I need a good pair of boots for backpacking, hunting, scouting, and a couple possible high country hunting trips out west in the future.

Thanks

I don't know about the Sasslong but I purchased the Asolo Granites from Sierra Trading post last winter. Here's a link on the Sasslongs from another site.

It is all about fit. Asolo is very consistent with their lasts accross all of their boot lines. (They happen to fit me very well). If you get a chance to try on any asolo you will get a good sense of how these fit. I have about 8 pairs now of various weights and they are great

I ended up with the Sasslongs. They are extremely comfortable out of the box and offer great support. I'm a little worried about the height but overall they are a great buy at $130 with the coupons STP always sends out.
