I've been looking at backpacks but thinking that I could fit everything I need for a day when I leave base capm into a fanny pack, plus maybe my back won't get so covered in sweat. What companies make good fanny packs? I've only found a couple besides cabelas and bass pro. Thanks

Axel, I've got a Kifaru Longhunter and it serves as a main pack and a day pack. Check out this video to see Kifaru Longhunter converted to lumbar day pack. I really like my Kifaru Longhunter. They're a bit pricey...... but you get what you pay for.

I had a fairly large Gregory Butt Pack. It had a very good added belt system just like their largest back packs. As long as you did not put too much weight in it it was very comfortable, esecially in hot weather. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Check out the Badlands Monster Fanny Pack. I was just using mine today hunting Turkeys. It is extremely comfortable and has shoulder straps so it never feels like it's going to fall off. Holds a lot of gear too.

The lost river is the day pack that I have used now for 5 years. Tough, quiet, and a waranty that can't be beat. Bison Gear Lost River ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

I've worried about the daypack issue. I've got a good backpack, and a fairly large fanny pack, I don't believe in carrying gear, just to be carrying gear. I think I'll make the fanny pack serve the purpose. Some of those daypacks look like weekpacks. I may change my mind. I haven't got my gear list yet for my Alaskan moose hunt.
