I am just getting into this an wonder if anyone has figured a way to eliminate the need to carry a tripod for their spotting scope or binos by using just their shooting sticks or walking stik in some configuration. Trying to get light lean and efficient. thanks "I will not raise taxes on those making more than 250k"

Thats one of the reasons that draw scopes are still popular with deer stalkers in the Scotish Highlands

Check walmart. I was in the camera section and they have a single pole camera stick with the screw for the camera as part of the handle. This is not a walking stick but a camera rest type of stick, so you can't put any weight on it.

This might also work for you. But it depends on the terrain. The ProMaster SystemPro Clamper Mini Tripod and Clamp. Compact and rock solid, but wouldn't work well if your shooting position was in prairie tall grass. It folds out to form a tripod that can be used off the bench or from prone or you can clamp it to a tree, luggage rack, etc. It can be folded flat and is very packable (11" long in folded position seen in this photo)...... I don't think the walking stick type supports are steady enough for a spotting scope.

Walking stick supports work out to about 10x. You can find tripod heads which clamp onto stuff, like fence posts and trees. There are table-top tripods which lighten the load, but are limited in where you can set them up.
