I need replacement bindings for two pair of "misery slippers", Sherpa and Coles mountaineering types. This is for steep country, carrying a heavy pack and only top quality items will do. Any info. appreciated.

Hi Kutenay,

I'd try the manufacturer then the distributors for both companies first. I'd next try the repair departments at MEC or another big-box outdoor store like REI in the U.S. If you've already tried those places, try eBay (someties it works!). I'd then try a Google keyword search.

Barring those options, while I haven't tried them, there are some at this place:

Some snowshoe bindings here

Best of success,
CL

I have made bindings for wood/rawhide shoes out of 3/16 in rubber. like conveyor belting but very stretchable, they are very handy and never have to be tightened. I would have to get the shoes down and measure the cut out for the boot.
