I am still waiting for shooting results, pictures, etc from all the beautiful new guns some of the fellas have.
At least some head crease pictures! rotflmo
It seems as if everyone quit shooting this time of year.
It's been raining here so long I am going to have lily pads growing in the woods. No chance to try my new boolit trap yet either.

I have nothing new to shoot -- unfortunately...... CRYBABY

The .500 will be done soon -- but I suspect you will be shooting that as soon as I get it in my hands.

Yeah, when is this rain going to let up?

Rain, we don't have rains, we have floods.....2 weeks back we got over 19 inches at my house in 4 days....dried out, got my hay cut at my home place (way late but better than anyone else has done locally)......and got 2.3 inches here Wed. Geesh........OTOH, it is making the hogs move around quite a bit, killed a big gilt sow (150 plus) Tues.....of course, the grass is so high, all you can see is movement until they get to a low spot.

After the drought we had a few years back, I swore I'd never complain about rain again, but I'm about to break that vow. Frowner

Here's my homemade handgun bullet trap. I designed and welded it myself for the express purpose of recycling the lead into more boolits. Waste not, want not.

That's a nice trap! Have you tested it yet? Bfrshooter and I shoot a lot of 400 + grain hardcast bullets and we are blowing through our lead supply. Can't find wheel weights locally with any ease anymore -- very unfortunate. Now when I start casting my 525 grain bullets we're going to burn through even more of it faster. Looking forward to hearing how your trap works!

Well it isn't new or at least brand new. I have been running a few rounds through the Raging Bull 454 over the past few weeks.

GOt a nice sow with it last weekend, and hope to get a few more with it in the upcoming weeks.

Right now I have a LOT of catching up to do around the house so it will be back to limited range time when I can sneak off after work.

Your trap looks a LOT like the Snail trap. I hope it works well for you.

Yes, I patterned it after the Snail Trap

It's been working great for years. No problems catching 300gr 45 Colt jacketed XPB's @ 1100fps or 44mag 300grs @ 100fps less.

But then the circular trap part is made from 1" thick steel pipe.
