I am in need of a load for a 180-gr-cast pill in a .45 colt. I don�t intend to use this to hunt with or for protection just to plink with. I was given 1000 of these bullets or I would not even bother. Anybody have a load or a place to start? Thanks

I like fast powders for light bullets in the big 45 colt case. I have been using Red Dot under 200gr for CAS. Try 6.0gr for about 800fps, very light recoil.

Check out Hodgdon's web site and look into Titegroup or Universal Clays powder.
