Have any of you guys shot a revolver with an aperture sight? If so how well did you like it. I can't see well at all, so I was thinking it might help. I don't want to put a scope on my Bisley.

Sean, I have seen some photos of an aperture sight on an old Ruger Security six, but no comments about it's use. I happen to be a physician that wear prescription glasses, 3 of them for different requirements. Could you be more informative about the nature/cause of your sight limitations? Maybe I could help you.

I am really near sighted (20/800 last time I checked) and have an astigmatism.

a large aperture - ghost ring? - rear sight should help. Got an old friend whoose vision is impaired - retinal problems from diabetes. He shoots bullseye with a S&W K38 with oversized open sights. He says he can not see the bullseye, only the clear paper square of the target. Just aims at the center of the paper. Has made some respectable scores. I hope this helps, Sean.
Please let us know about. luck and health.
