I would like to put either a red dot or a low X scope on my Raging Bull in .454Casull. Most probably I'll use a red dot sight that fits on a weaver base, since I already have it on another handgun.

The question is, what is the most versatile modification I can make to the pistol for mounting optics?

Would a plain weaver base that can accept both bases and the integral mount red dots type mounts be the way to go?

I don't mind if the outcome is ugly, just as long as it is functional and will hold up to recoil

express-I called and got Taurus's base for the Bull.Works great.Goes on with an Allen wrench.I do recomend something under it though if you ever decide to un scope your gun it won't scratch it up.I put a Burris Speed Dot on mine and it's holding up good un like some others I have tried.Id only use Burris or the Ultra Dot(Lifetime warrenty) if your after a Red Dot.

I used the Taurus Mount on mine and it has held up fine.

Thakns Joyco, I had a look at their site and found the mount. Looks good, I just hope I can get it here in Italy.
