I contacted Bauska Barrels and they are presently making barrels in 4140 steel only. Another problem is export permit but that is another story. I�ll try to find is any barrel maker up here.

Yes, we have considerable restrictions regarding handguns, much more regulated than in US. Fortunately, no mandatory waiting period (just 3-5 days for paperwork to be done) as in some states on your side of border.

As for wild boars, we have them in some areas, but no handgun hunt on any game. Friends in WV are inviting me to come in their area.

No question about effectiveness of 45 LC. Personally, I would prefer exited bullet for eventual tracking, but that is just my opinion influenced by experience with dogs.

The next step could be TC (truncated cone) bullet and later on LBT, but that will be another story.
