Just picked up a titanium .44 special 5 shot 396 smith and took it out to the range tonight and shot about 200 rounds through it. Recoil is a little more then brisk with 250s at about 900fps. But it should in a 18oz gun. It even took a chunk of the web of my shooting hand. When I was finished I noticed that the houge grips it came with were starting to tear by the top ears. I called smith when I got home and told them what happened and they are sending me a new set of grips no questions asked. They dont eve want the old ones back. To me thats good service!!
