Just out of curiousity, do you have a Tracker? What cartridge does it use? How do you rate the revolver? My first choice for a 357 is the Taurus M66 stainless, with the 357 Tracker second, followed by the 41 Tracker. Thanks. ~~~Suluuq

I used to own a Tracker 425Ti (4" 41 mag in Titanium). It was a nice little gun that shot very well. The cylinder is a little short for the heavier LBT style bullets but the Federal Cast Core 250gr would fit. That bullet is available from Cast Performance Bullet Company. At 28 ozs, it was a handful with a 230gr Keith at 1230FPS but shot very nice. The ribber grips do a great job. If buying another one, I would get the SS version. Hope this helps.

I have a Tracker Ti in 41 mag. It is a great little gun. It carrys very well and shoots very good to. I mainly use two loads with it, one is a 210gr XTP loaded to 1218fps and a 250gr Cast bullet from cast performance. They will both print to the same point of impact so I can use the lighter load to practice with and the heavier load to carry while in bear and moose country. If you are looking for a nice light gun to carry around I would look very hard at the Taurus 41 mag. THe only other lightweight defensive round would be the Smith and wesson 329pd lightwieght 44 mag.

Thanks for the responces. Bear... I just read an artical in Combat Handguns, about the M329. Its a nice revolver (this one also was about the M29 Mountain Gun), one worth owning, but as it mentioned in the piece, the recoil would be quite aggressive for such a light revolver. I'm more intrigued by a 357 this time around, after owning two M629's (4 and 6 inchers), a Blackhawk 44, and currently a Silverhawk 45LC. BTW my first revolver was a BH 357, of which I traded off many years ago (a mistake in hind sight). ~~~Suluuq
