While I can't respond to anything said to or about Mr. Roof, he is one of two people I have on ignore, I do have a comment about the media. I think it is beginning to change and we will soon see an end to printed media, sadly. I say sadly because some of us still enjoy reading good books and actually holding one. Those times are passing. The future is both in e-books and subscription writing. The authors will have more control over both what is published and what their profit level will be. My teen age daughters read for fun for several hours every day. Only about half of it is using paper medium. They find individual writers that they like and read their writing on the internet. Even the classics are available for free on project Gutenberg. If you like original works, you can go to fanfiction.net and go to the original section and get original pieces from unknown authors. Yes, some of it is really crappy writing about someone's fantasy anime show, but some of it is very good. It will become more like radio and TV. You can pay for exactly what you want without having to buy the items you don't. We might subscribe to the BFRSHOOTER site, if we liked it while others would not. Either way he might be able to make extra cash from it without the "publishing" hassles. I think the days of having to take all the articles we don't like along with the articles we do is coming to an end, thankfully. Anyway, just an observation. You know, Larry, I hope you are wrong. Yes, the world has moved to the internet, but print media is still viable and advertisers still prefer the printed page to space on a website in my experience. While this is shifting, I sincerely hope that we do not see the demise of books and magazines. Besides, how do you take your computer to the crapper for your morning constitutional (I guess if you have a laptop it is possible!)? "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." Whitworth, I wish it WOULD, but it probably won't and some schmuck like Charles Schumer will demand that the pistol manufacturers put a "splash guard" on the frame so that the numbnuts who shoot it won't blow their thumbs off. (BTW, what that a bullet cavity or hydrostatic shock? LMAO - Just kidding, don't answer that.) RETIRED Taxidermist | |||

Of course, that would depend on the velocity of the projectile..... A splash guard/blast shield would work, but I like the idea of chain-mail gloves -- they're kinda retro and sexy...... I agree with you about hating to lose books, but I will have to admit to reading while on my Blackberry type handheld phone while waiting for planes and such. Hadn't thought about the crapper....hmmmm I guess I am usually otherwise engaged.
