I have been shooting some heavy loads in my 475 Linebaugh and the friggen hammer is smacking my fingers pretty bad. Has any body narrowed the hammer near the top and rounded off the edges???Thanks ahead ,OB CRYBABY

I suggest that the solution is to extend the grip frame to Ruger Bisely length so that you can get all three fingers on the grip to better control the recoil. Jack Huntington is somewhat legendary for this mod on BFR's as well as tweaking the grip frame by pulling your knuckles a bit away from the trigger guard. Send the gun to him for this mod and also have him round and smooth the areas you suggest and you will be good to go. Here is my modified BFR grip frame by Huntington then leaned down some to better fit my hand by Alan Harton.

Jack also knocks off sharp edges on the trigger if you get him to do the grip mod. He will also add a set of really nice wood grips.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
