Does anyone have one of these in the 4" .44 mag yet? I hear they are getting to the stores but I have not found one yet. Any idea of price?

You must be all to pieces over a 44 and porting or over a S&W or Ruger.
Tell us what you want to know in a specific manner and you may get a better answer.
What are you going to do shoot the daylights out of it with heavy loads? If so get the Ruger.
If you want a nice 44 Mag that will last a long long time with normal loads get the Smith.
Unless you are recoil sensitive (nothing wrong with that as long as you admit it to yourself) you do not need porting.
Just get one and shoot it and enjoy it.

Not sure what isn't clear as to the question. Maybe you are wrapping my other post into this one. I bought the Smith Mountain gun. Now I want one of the Rugers.

If you have bought many guns you will know that prices are variable due to the price most gun stores want to charge within any reason so anyone answering your question would just be giving a general answer. You will have to see what your dealer will charge. What my dealer may charge may be entirely different from yours.
That seems to me to be common knowlege to most people.
Don't you have any dealers in your area? I would be asking them instead of asking on here.
You may be able to pick up a used 5 1/2 incher cheap enough to consider it.

This is a tough crowd! I did stand up in a biker bar with better success. I think what I wrote was " I hear they are getting to the stores but I have not found one yet. Any idea of price?" I am sorry if I bothered you, that was not my intent. Me and my stupid questions...........

Hi, don't know what MEEEE_plat is all bent over about.

Just saw this one on Gunbroker. Looks like a pretty nice piece to me.
I had a SS Redhawk in 45 Colt several years ago, but the throats were way too small so I sold it. It would not even chamber a round with the 300 XTP.
Ruger seems to do a better job on the 44s.
