I started this year's season in Arkansas. A friend of mine invited me to hunt on his farm. I got a 160 lb doe with my .358 JDJ shooting the Hornady 200 grain Spire Point Interlock ahead of a healthy dose of AA2520. A double shoulder shot at around 60 yards folded her up without so much as a twitch. The wound channel between the shoulders was substantial. I usually shoot just behind the shoulders through the lungs, but I didn't want to take the chance of having to track her in the rain.
