Anyone know if a BFR .50 AE can be converted to the .500 Linebaugh? We have the equipment to do it, but wonder if the gun will take it, or if there are any othere issues to contend with that we have missed.
Thanks in advance.

Spoke with Jack Huntington this afternoon and posed this question. He said that the chambers can be done, but it will need to be rebarreled.

It is crazy with these .500's. I made all these molds and some are .510" and others are .502". Trying to keep track of what gun uses what can drive a guy nuts.
Why didn't all of them use a .500 boolit?

Ya, never was interested in any .50 AE, so never paid attention to bore dia. in that one.
But it makes no sense to me why the difference.
If my buddie want's one in .500 that bad, he will just have to put a new barrel on it.

We have a new 7-1/2" stainless, Ruger Bisley Hunter in .44 mag that is starting to look pretty damn good right now for myself.
You guys have any luck with one of those?

Or, replace the cylinder with one chambered in .500 JRH as Boxhead suggested. I have a .500 JRH and really enjoy it.
