Hehe, yeah. I sent my Ruger SRH off to Mag-Na-Port for an action/trigger job.

I'm still waiting for it to come back, but I'll be happy to let you know what it groups once I get it back. I was averaging around a 4" group at 50 yrds. with it just standing previously. That's iron sights and freehand though, so I'm sure it's more me than the gun.

When I get it back, I'm putting a 4x scope on it and I'll shoot a few groups from a bench after I get it sighted in and tell you the results.

It's a SRH .44 Mag with 7.5" barrel. I'm having MNP put a brake on the end of it too, mainly just for aesthetics.

I think it's interesting that everyone who's replied have all recommended Ruger.

When would you need to "rattle some rounds off"? I have never felt undergunned when going against deer (or anything else on two or four feet) with a single action revolver. The Rugers are good guns and I own several. If you want the best though, save up a bit more and get yourself a Freedom Arms Model 83.
