Leanwolf - Thanks for the load, for I've used 8.5gr in my Ruger as well with good results. Have you tried, or would you recommend, Keith's load of 16.5gr of 2400 with a 255gr. SWC? I use 18.5gr. of that powder with 255gr. SWC as well as 250gr. XTP's.in my Ruger? I have read that the Colt's made after WWII were stronger than the original, but no pressure data has been published (to my knowledge) of the "maximum". Moki echoes my sentiments on the Beretta not being as strong as the Ruger; however, Beretta does make the same model in a .357mag which handles presures at a much higher level than even the Ruger .45 Blackhawk. (Yeh, I know the strength of the cases and the cylinder walls are different, but the frame is not.) Thanks for the imnput. Riley

Lar45 - Thanks for the good .45 info regarding pressure. I'm not familiar with the Seville; where is it made? Regards, Riley

If you want to push high end loads in the .45colt, buy a Ruger or FA. All of the Italian copies & even the US made Colts arenot going to be happy w/any kind of steady diet of #3 level colt loads.
