I'm not sure on the federal loacd specifically, but I have used the 300 gr cast performance bullet at similar velocities with great luck. I am not sure, but the bullet looks just like the cast performance bullet. They work well on hogs and deer. John

Eric, I've never tried the Federal load, can't seem to find them here. I have a box of Buffalo Bore 44 Magnum +P+ rounds. I haven't tried them yet. I want to shoot them over a chronograph and see what velocity I get. What type of grips are those, Hogue? They look great.

Yes Sir, they are the Goncalo Alves grips from Hogue. I think they were $69.00 shipped. -eric " . . . a gun is better worn and with bloom off---So is a saddle---People too by God." -EH

The Federal 300 gr. cast bullets will work well on both hogs and black bear. If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ Member of the Delaware Destroyers Member Reeders Misfits NRA Life Member ENDOWMENT MEMBER NAHC Life Member DSA Life Member
