Very happy with buffalo bore... i recently side brained and elephant cow with my Ruger Redhawk 4" with buffalo bore 340gr solids. The cow was lying down when the shot was taken and very close range. I was very impressed by the penetration. At least 40cm into the brain, the round went through the brain and the on for another 10cm the other side. | ||

i like the buffalo bore rounds but in the future if ya use that same 44 mag with punch bullets or corbon penetrators they'll exit on the side and make it straight through from the front. | |||

Was she "laying down and at very close range" because she had already been shot? I ask because I wondered myself about using a big bore pistol for finishing elephants/buffalo.
