I shot my flintlock and rained down holy hell (in the land of inaccurate volley fire) on tin cans at fifty yards and then scrubbed it and oiled it and hung it back on the wall. I'm pretty sure the misses still scared them, and that should count for something.

I usually go hunting; which I did today. I'm going to fire up the dutch oven here in a bit and cook some chicken and rice.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

The Family thing.....

I did however get some great footage of a Hugh 7 point buck chasing a doe, and chasing off a fork horn buck, and what looked to be a button buck. They play in the field behind my house for over 5 hours, before going back into the woods that I hunt behind. I got 20 minuets of some great footage.

Going bow hunting tomorrow afternoon.

If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

Our tradition is an early like 10:00 thanksgiving meal. Early because in early life w/a large extended family (mid 1940s) get togethers at one of the kinfolks place that didn't have electricity yet, (nor plumbing for that matter) and the goal was to eat, cleanup, visit and play before dark set in. Fast forward to now, what w/all the convienances our married kids and spouses drag in expecting an evening feast. So, our tradition has evolved to getting the dinner on the table as early as possible, sit down and get near half way thru it before the jerks show up.
