I know a bunch of you have BFR's so I have a question. I am going to make a new mould for mine. It shoots the 300 and 317 gr boolits fine but I am thinking of going halfway and trying for about 350 gr's. Has anyone shot some around this weight and how did they group? I would like to get some input before I start cutting a cherry.

I've used 350 grain Hornady's in my .450 Marlin BFR and they group well. Out of a 10" tube they can be pushed close to 1,800 fps.

I use the 350 gr. Laser-Cast FN over 15.5 gr. of Unique as my practice load in the BFR. Velocity out of the 10" barrel is 1160 fps ave. and accuracy is good. The big bonus for me is that this load shoots to the same POI as my deer hunting load of 41 gr. of Rel #7 under a 400 grain so there is no tinkering with the scope. This bullet would benefit from a larger
meplat, something YOU could do!
