Say the local newspaper has recently run an article, which shows that there are residents who keep both tigers and hyenas as pets...

Personally, I've decided this, and that they fit in my briefcase, happens to be an excellent reason to carry either my 500 (currently back at S&W) or my 454.

Any suggestions for bullet types? Solids only? Some kind of soft?

I IWB carry a G29, usually loaded w. Speer GD -- if I put FMJs in a spare, would they have a chance against such critters? (The tigers are fairly neighborly -- I don't know where the hyena is.)

I would carry some sort of soft point for that application over a a hollow point or round nose FMJ for the G29. A good hardcast with a wide, flat meplat would be my choice for the big bore revolvers.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

Ditto -- what Hitman said, particularly the heavy, flat-nosed hardcast part.
