Whitworth came out to shoot today. I tested my .475 with sized boolits and Carnauba Red with unsized and Felix lube. The unsized were 1/2" smaller at 50 yd's. A vertical string of an inch. I call it sandbag stringing from butt pressure.
Bioman (Scott.) came down the hill and marko gave him his .475 SRH. Scott proceeded to shoot a 1" group at 50 yd's. I put up an empty spray paint can at 100 yd's and we shot at it off hand. I hit it once. Then I found the plastic cap, stuck it on a stick, so we got carried away shooting at it. I peeled back some plastic with one shot.
With one of us spotting we found none of our off hand shots were more then 2" from the can, many within an inch. I estimate that none of us went over 6" groups. My WFN is super accurate.
After, we sat and enjoyed home brewed Belgian ale.
It was warm and very humid. Our glasses kept fogging up. I told Marko my glasses always do that when I put ear muffs on. I can't breath through my ears with them on! dancing

Sounds like a great time! I really enjoy shooting with folks that like to shoot as much as I do.

I defer to bfrshooter -- his worst days are better than most and certainly better than mine!

Sounds like you guys had a good time and did some good shooting as well.

Of all the Super Powerful Handgun Rounds, I think the 475 Linebaugh is the best overall, considering controlability, penetration, power and accuracy.

I agree, but contralability is a relative term as loaded to where it is "supposed" to be, it is one of the hardest kickers..... All around, I don't think there is a better cartridge either.
