Whitworth and I are kicking around the idea of a group hunt next spring. We've got plenty of time to discuss what, where, when, and how to pull it together.

You've probably already guessed that I love to hunt hogs! That said, it is the one game animal that is absolutely beyond plentiful with no season. Plus, they are cheaper to hunt than many other animals and they are tough. So, wild hogs are what I would suggest we hunt if everyone else here agrees.

Sounds fine to me Whitworth. I'm guessing somewhere in TN is going to be a location central to most. If I'm wrong and you're interested in joining in say something.

That might be fun! I could load up the .41 mags and have some pork chops.

Sounds like fun.I would like to kill some thing besides Porkupines with the 475.

This is a good oppertunity for us to get together and have a good time hunting and visiting.

I have a call in to an outfitter and am just waiting to hear back. I will post some details tomorrow as soon as I get them........standby

Spoke with my outfitter in the panhandle of Florida where I hunted last month. I told him what we were planning on organizing and he is willing to give us a great deal on a two day hunt. He has 3,500 acres, and 20 stands on the property. There are no feeders as these are free ranging hogs. He is willing to give us a two day hunt for $200.00 if we can ge 10 people to commit. Your $200.00 will get you 2 hogs (any size), skinned and/or caped and two full days of hunting. Accomodations will probably be on the property (he is putting up cabins) that will not cost extra. Or, you can stay in town at a Motel that has a deal with the outfitter for $30.00/night and t is a descent place.

It is a great place to hunt that I highly recommend!

Man that sounds fun! Hopefully the work will break free by then I could afford to do it. Always wanted to hunt Hogs. Never been anywhere that had them. Well AZ has the javalinas, but didn't ever have time while there in college.

They are free ranging hogs. jwp475 and I hunted there last month. I will certainly keep everyone posted.

How do we want to handle paying the deposits in order to lock in the rate? Suggestions anyone?

I told him Spring as that is what we were talking about tentatively, but he's flexible and is willing to work with us.

Interested. Be fun if you could strike a deal with one of the Texas exotic ranches.

I am interested in the hog hunt. South MS is within driving distance to the Flordia Panhandle and I'll never beat the price. My deer season ends in early February; anytime after that is perfect.

I drove down there from Virginia, and even though it was a bit of a haul, it wasn't bad at all to be perfectly honest, and it was well worth the trip. Good to have you onboard, Duckhunter!
