Just picked up a Super Blackhawk with 7 1/2" barrel. Here's my question? Besides all the nylon/cordura holsters made, who makes a decent holster? I'll probably go with a hip holster but may someday pick up a shoulder holster. Any models or preferences? Thanks Hoser

El Paso Saddlery, ck out the Tom Threepersons model. Classic leather gear and reasonably priced for the lifelong quality you get. Milt Sparks does the 200AWR, unsure if its available for SA's though. I've got a few for Smith revolvers and they are one of my favorites for a field or hunting rig. Ringler Leather does a really neat Packers holster which is a shoulder rig of sorts, worn over your clothing. Heard nothing but good reports on the Ringler rig. FN in MT

My 7-1/2" barreled Ruger SBH fit in a Hunter leather hip holster just fine. The revolver rode well in that holster for me in the field. But now I'll have to find something else to put it in as I'm scoping it.
