I was kicking around bullets and calibers with a buddy at work and this combo came up. I'm not seriously contemplating this set up. He shoots a lever 35 Rem and knows someone who shoots a 35 Rem TC. After all the more popular .30 cal rounds were discussed, I brought up the 7.62 x 39. We both dismissed it for a couple of the same reasons posted above. Forgot about it being rimmless, another good point.
