I've been loading cartridges such as 35 Rem. and 7mmTCU in the contender for about twenty years. It amazes me sometimes still that even factory 35 ammo occasionally fails to fire due to a light firing pin strike. Forming 7 TCUs are sometimes a pain, because not all will headspace properly for fireforming. Once they are shot in the chamber, of course, they shoot from then on, as long as you neck size only. Has anyone else had some revelations on this problem?

i read the other day to expand 35 rem to 375 then full length it to 35 rem it will ad a extra step in the case that aids in fire forming.then to nect size after that.i neck size mine and id have problems id full length them and it seamed to fix the problem.ive only had problems with expanding 7 tcu never in the firring of them.my dad has had alot of problems with 7x30 waters too. he changed to federal primers and that helped alot with his miss fires
