I have to agree with some of the posters that 2-1/2 to 8 is too much for a revolver. The scopes are larger and look and feel out of place. 2X is all you want for offhand and 4X is plenty from the bench. Even at 4X you would have a devil of a time offhand. Then with the reduction in eye relief as you turn up the power you would not be happy. If you were putting it on a long range single shot pistol, then I would say go for it, but not on a revolver. I love scopes for target, however I use red dots for hunting as they are faster and easier to aquire deer. I have an old, old, old 4X leopold with target turrets that I use for squirrels on my slabside Mark II. It is VERY tough to use. Hard to find a squirrel even with both eyes open, even harder to hold steady. | ||
