Mike's "Ready for Load Development" thread has me considering mounting a Holosun green-dot on my Blackhawk in .41. The Weigand no-drill mount looks pretty ingenious. Has anyone here used this mount, and if so, what were your conclusions? https://www.jackweigand.com/Ru...ill-Scope-Mount.html There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Bill, 30 some years ago I met Jack at the USPSA nationals. We talked and he ended up building me a semi custom Model 57 with a 8-3/8 inch barrel. He used to do S&W factory repair work. He put one of these (then new) mounts on it for me. It has never moved or given me any trouble in that 30+ years. I shoot full power 210 grain loads. I have taken several head of deer and a hog or two. I mounted a Tasco pistol scope on it. I can highly recommend Jack, his work and products. I had one on my 41Mag Blackhawk for a while but everytime I hunted with it I would have to re-zero my optic. I tightened the clamp down as tight as I could, to the extent that I was fearful of breaking it. I then put a Wiegand drill and tap ring base on it and couldn't be happier as it doesn't even wiggle now. Dennis Life member NRA
