I have two ruger 454s I dont like the grips on them from the factory.I bought one pachmyer set for a sp101 that fit but I have not tried them yet.I am going to order some of the grips that they use on the Alaskan model 454 super redhawk.I was wondering if anyone had tried them.I am thinking of having one of my Redhawks ported if that does not help.I can shoot about 60 full 300 gr loads a day and thats about it.
I really like them i tried swapping the ones out on my 454 alaskan for a set of pachmayrs and really noticed the differnce the houges were much kinder on the web of the hand.

i have used very similar ones on the 460 S&W and even though they dont say the same thing they feel and look the same. i can shoot forever with the 460 but my brother has a tarus raging bull in 44 mag that really slaps the blood out of my hands hard. i much prefer the added padding on the grips of my gun.
Have you located a scource for the Hogue grips that are used on the Alaskan? I get quite a sting from my SRH 454 with the factory grips and I was thinking about trying the Hogues.
