I got a new toy today! I went to a gun show and picked up a Mint Dan Wesson .357 with a 8 inch barrel. It is like brand new. It didnt come with the barrel nut wrench and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one. Also the first shot I shot out of it was 25 yards at a 6" Steel swinger and hit it ! Good sign I say LOL! Any pet loads are welcome too. It is marked that it was built in Monson MA So from personal research it sounds like it is a older one. Any input on that would be nice also.Thanx Fellas

You can get parts from czusa.com.They bought DW out.
I have a couple of DW (414 SM & 375 SM) and they shoot great.

I have two Dan Wesson revolversa 357 super mag and a 32 H&R mag. They are both the most accurate revolvers I have ever seen bar none. They are made like ytanks and will last forever. The 357 super mag is irritating about ejecting brass slow but that it.The trigger pull is about 2 pounds on the single action and crisp. They are heavy but very accurate.

Though I've never owned on I remember the old days well. When then were developing the 44 Mag you could ; talk to the CEO, look at the prototype, handle the prototype and even shoot the prototpe !!! How often can you do that ? thumb

The older Dan Wessons are among the most durable and accurate revolvers out there. One of mine, an 8" .22 LR, has been so used and abused along traplines and small game fields that it has virtually no bluing left. I couldn't even venture a guess as to how many rounds have been down the tube...

Yet it still functions perfectly and is capable of superb groups. It's ugly as sin, but it's one gun I will never part with.

I've also had 2 .44 Magnums (6 and 10" configurations) and a couple 6" .357 Mags. All displayed excellent accuracy with just about any handload I chose to feed them.

I have a stainless .44. Love this revolver. I used it this year to take a 20 7/16 B&C black bear. Check out gunbroker.com for parts.
